RNLI Guildford Branch
Volunteer Roles Explained
To make it possible for our fundraising to increase, the committee is looking for a dedicated “Crew” of volunteers made up as follows, with different levels of involvement:
Members of the Guildford Branch.
These are willing to collect for an hour or more, once to three times a year. Members
are invited to support the special events the branch organises and runs.
Friends of the Guildford Branch.
These are willing in addition to collecting to do more, prepared to support the branch
in its activities on a flexible basis based on their own priorities in any way and to an
extent that they choose individually without the formal commitment that comes from
joining the committee.
Members of the Committee.
These are willing to help the Guildford branch on a formal basis and to take on a
specific responsibility and organise others within the committee and branch to achieve
this. The committee only meets twice a year and the events are run by a team of
committee members and ‘friends’ so that the load is spread and no individuals are
asked to do too much.
